Just Eat Takeaway.com powers up global retail offering with CeX expansion into Ireland and Spain

Just Eat Takeaway.com is announcing a major global expansion of its retail partnership with second-hand gaming and electronics retailer CeX. Following the successful launch in the UK earlier this year, the partnership is now live in Ireland and Spain, adding a popular, sustainable and accessible option for on-demand convenience.

The expansion is coming right ahead of the crucial holiday season, positioning Just Eat Takeaway.com as a go-to destination for budget-conscious users looking to quickly and conveniently purchase gifts, last-minute gaming accessories, electronics and entertainment products.

The service is launching in Ireland with 36 CeX stores available on the Just Eat app, and simultaneously expanding into Spain, where 62 CeX stores are now available. These locations join the network of 376 CeX stores already successfully selling on the Just Eat platform across the UK, making a wide range of second-hand tech instantly accessible to millions of consumers.

A Win for Convenience and the Circular Economy

The partnership strongly reinforces the increasing consumer demand for everyday convenience while also promoting a circular economy. By offering second-hand products, Just Eat Takeaway.com and CeX are providing users with a more sustainable and cost-effective shopping choice.

The recent partnership in the UK has demonstrated phenomenal customer demand for instant delivery of second-hand entertainment and electronics. In just a few months, Just Eat's service has been essential in fulfilling urgent tech needs, having delivered 1,179 consoles (including 470 switch consoles), over 1,731 controllers, and 4,380 essential basics like cables. Customers have purchased 4,659 games, with 742 being Call of Duty titles—and Black Ops III is clearly the fan favourite, making it the most popular game sold.

The success of our partnership with CeX in the UK proved that our customers want instant access to a diverse range of products, especially in the growing tech and electronics categories. By expanding our collaboration, we're not only giving thousands of users the ability to do their holiday gift shopping or instantly replace a broken charger, but we’re also making it easier for them to choose a sustainable, cost-effective option. This is a game-changer partnership for on-demand retail in Europe. Pete Chong, Global Head of Retail @ Just Eat Takeaway.com
We’re delighted to expand the reach of CeX to millions more Just Eat customers, making it even faster for them to get the tech treats on demand. Just Eat customers can now enjoy the most popular CeX products and quality items, all covered by CeX’s un-rivalled free 5 year warranty, all straight to your door in under 60 minutes. With over 30 years retail experience, we know our tech and are excited to be innovators in offering convenient access to the best loved entertainment products now across Ireland and Spain on the back of success in the UK.  David Butler, CeX Director

The Just Eat Takeaway.com and CeX global partnership is set to continue its rapid expansion in 2026, with plans to launch in more markets.
