Today, Just Eat and Superdrug announce their exclusive partnership with the launch of 'Glam in a Jam', a new service delivering make-up artists (MUAs) direct to people's doors.

Whether it’s a toddler behaving like Picasso with a high-end makeup kit or a favourite concealer taking an accidental dive down the toilet, beauty mishaps can have a habit of striking at the worst possible moments.

For a limited-time trial, ‘Glam in a Jam’ aims to ensure beauty inconveniences don’t derail our plans by providing more than just the replacement products; it delivers the professional hands to apply them.

In partnership with viral make-up artist CC Clarke, known for her bold, high-glam transformations and loyal online following, customers in London and Manchester will be able to book one-on-one sessions - securing a last-minute beauty rescue when they need it most.

The sought-after slots, available to book via Eventbrite for Friday 8th May and Saturday 9th May, will see CC delivered directly to recipients’ homes. She’ll give them a 45-minute makeover using products from the popular health and beauty retailer Superdrug, available via the Just Eat app.

The launch comes as new research reveals the average Brit loses an average of four hours per month to fixing last-minute make-up mishaps. For many Brits, it’s not just about the time at stake; it’s also the last-minute chaos, with nearly half (46%) admitting they panic when they realise they have run out of an essential product whilst getting ready.

With Superdrug now on Just Eat, the partnership not only offers a rapid solution for "glam jams," but it also covers the full spectrum of health and beauty essentials from the retailer. From emergency mascara and winged eyeliner fixes to last-minute health supplies, suncare, and everyday toiletries, customers can now have a wide range of products delivered to their doorstep in as little as 30 minutes.

Since over a third (39%) of Brits admit they frequently experience cosmetic mishaps, and one in 10 (13%) even cancelling a long-awaited night out due to a cosmetic mishap, Just Eat has compiled a Beauty Blunders Index, uncovering the most common cosmetic catastrophes that frequently derail weekend plans.

Brits' Top 10 Beauty Blunders are:

  1. Eyeliner/mascara going wrong (55%)
  2. Clumpy mascara (44%)
  3. Spilling products on clothes (36%)
  4. Smudging or ruining makeup and having to start again (31%)
  5. Dropping and breaking a product (e.g., powder, bronzer) (30%)
  6. Cakey or cracked foundation (29%)
  7. Face makeup doesn’t colour-match the neck (27%)
  8. Eyeliner wings not symmetrical (26%)
  9. Having no time to redo makeup before leaving (25%)
  10. Forgetting an essential item when away from home (24%)

Caroline Bates, Grocery and Retail Director at Just Eat, said: “Superdrug launching on Just Eat means customers can now get their beauty essentials conveniently delivered on demand, whenever their glam doesn’t go to plan. We’re always looking at how we can make everyday moments easier and show up for our customers when it matters most. That’s why we’re delighted to team up with make-up artist, CC, to offer this first-of-its-kind trial and deliver a proper glam rescue.”

Those keen to avoid beauty blunders can book a limited slot for London or Manchester via Eventbrite, with bookings opening from 9am on Wednesday, 6th May on a first-come, first-served basis. The service will be available to those within select postcodes - London SW4 & SW12, and Manchester - M3.

CC’s Top Tips for Combatting Beauty Blunders

1. The key to removing mascara smudges? Patience!

If you end up with mascara smudges under your eyes, it can be tempting to immediately wipe it away, but this can mess up your base make-up. Instead, wait until it's totally dry and then flick it away with a clean spoolie or cotton bud. If needed, tap a little concealer over the area too.

2. Give your smashed bronzer a new lease of life

Dropping your favourite bronzer, blush or powder and watching it smash can be heart-breaking, but it is fixable. First, crush it fully then add a few drops of alcohol before pressing it all back down into the pan and leaving overnight. It'll reset like new!

3. Creased make-up? Powder isn't your friend…

If your make-up is looking a little tired or creased later in the day, resist adding more powder. This will only emphasise creases. Instead, use a refreshing mist or a touch of cream concealer and re-blend with a damp beauty sponge to bring everything back to life.

4. Make-up doesn't last forever!

Like food, make-up can be past its best too. The smell and texture will tell you everything you need to know, so if your product is separating, seems to have changed or just doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and grab a new one.

5. Clump-free lashes need layering, not overloading

To avoid clumpy lashes, make sure you let each layer of mascara dry fully before applying the next, and don't overload the wand. Tubing mascara is also great for a clump-free finish.
