Introducing Menulog for Business: tasty new service helps employers meet growing demand for workplace benefits
- Menulog launches Menulog for Business - a ‘work perk’ where employers gift a digital allowance to staff for food orders via Menulog during work days, as appetite for staff benefits surge
SYDNEY - 5 July 2022 - Menulog today launches a new service offering for Australian businesses - Menulog for Business. The new ‘work perk’ service makes it easy for employers to give their staff a digital allowance for food spending via Menulog during work days.
At a time when lifestyle benefits come highly valued by workers, many businesses are creating compelling benefits packages for staff that support wellbeing as well as rising cost of living pressures. It’s an area employers are giving greater focus and investment, with only a third of Australian employees satisfied with their current benefits package.
Menulog offers the greatest choice of restaurants and cuisines, servicing more than 93 per cent of Australia, making the new Menulog for Business a relevant proposition for all businesses - particularly as companies adopt hybrid working models and allow for staff working remotely.
Sydney based aged, community and disability care provider FocusConnect has been one of the first to take advantage of the new Menulog for Business offering, as part of a pilot program.
Antoinette Brugge Divisional Lead, Aged Care at FocusConnect, said: “We’re increasingly looking at ways we can enhance the lives of our clients, offering them lifestyle perks and benefits that help improve their day. We hope that Menulog for Business provides a positive and engaged working environment. As the expense of grabbing lunch nearby is covered, our staff can make their orders on behalf of clients and share a meal together which we think will be a real benefit to our culture.”
Morten Belling, Managing Director, Menulog, said: “Employee retention is becoming one of business’s biggest priorities, particularly amidst workforce shortages. With a growing appetite for attractive benefits packages, we’re thrilled to help Australian businesses bolster their workplace appeal through Menulog for Business, and it also helps incentivise more spending among our local restaurants as the industry continues to rebuild post the pandemic.
“At Menulog, we have been growing our partnerships with grocery and convenience sites around the country, and therefore employees using Menulog for Business can choose to use their allowance among local grocers and restaurants - the choice is theirs no matter their cravings!”
Menulog began testing Menulog for Business among its own Australian employees in April this year. Rachel O’Loughlin, Key Account Manager at Menulog said: “This is a benefit I am really grateful for as it helps me create more balance in my day. The time I’d usually spend meal-prepping is now used for more time at the gym or walking my dog Luna and I’m saving money on my meals”
Menulog for Business is easy for employees and employers to use alike, with no complex expense management required. Businesses simply receive one clear invoice at the end of each month.
