The AI Assistant helps customers to search, customise and place orders via text-based chat, while receiving personalised restaurant and meal recommendations tailored to their tastes and desires.
- Discover new local favourites based on past orders and preferences
- Get personalised food suggestions and shortcut their search
- Access summarised reviews and restaurant insights
- Seamlessly place and customise orders through a natural, text-style interface
- Be directed to additional customer support if needed
“As Australia’s appetite for digital convenience continues to grow, our AI Assistant is designed to deliver a more intuitive way to find what you’re craving,” said Ariane Fitzpatrick, Head of Operations at Menulog.
“We’re excited to roll out this innovation to give Aussies more choice and convenience while ordering their favourites or exploring hidden gems in their area.”
The AI Assistant was developed by Menulog’s parent company, Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET), one of the world’s largest on-demand delivery platforms. After a successful pilot in the UK, the tool is now being rolled out across several global markets, including Australia, with multilingual support planned as part of its wider expansion. The AI Assistant will continue to evolve based on user feedback, with new features and refinements already in the pipeline.
The AI Assistant is part of JET’s broader innovation program, which includes other cutting-edge initiatives such as drone deliveries and in-car ordering – all designed to enhance convenience for customers across its global network.
