Kings of Gyros in Leeds Wins Just Eat Restaurant of the Year Award

Just Eat has crowned Kings of Gyros, based in Beeston, Leeds, as the winner of its Restaurant of the Year Award 2025. This award celebrates the very best of the UK’s food scene, and the restaurants that consistently deliver exceptional food, standout service, and meaningful local impact.

Within the Restaurant of the Year category, 500 entries were submitted before the list was narrowed down to ten finalists. The final decision was handed over to the public, and after 55,000 people cast their votes, Kings of Gyros took the top spot.

A much-loved local favourite, Kings of Gyros blends authentic Greek street food with home-crafted twists, winning over the Leeds community.

For owner Kerion Rose, building Kings of Gyros has been about more than great food; it’s about purpose. The restaurant actively supports its neighbourhood, from sponsoring players at Middleton Park FC to donating Easter eggs and raffle prizes for local initiatives.

Their unique menu items, including a homemade jerk sauce and their viral ‘Premium Munchbox’, have earned them a loyal fan base and a consistent 4.7-star rating on Just Eat. Combined with a 5-star food hygiene rating, the restaurant has steadily hit its business goals, while fueling and serving local customers in more ways than one.

It’s not just the title that Kings of Gyros takes home; the Leeds-based Greek restaurant has also secured £20,000 worth of marketing support. Just Eat will work closely with the local business to help them continue to grow, expand and combat any challenges they may be facing.

The three runners-up for the award, which include Sweet Fix located in Manchester, Wonder Bird Co in London and Rumana’s in Birmingham, will receive £5,000 worth of local marketing support to give their business a boost in their local areas.
