Office catering at all time high as corporates continue to adopt flexible catering models

Food perks at work remain a popular option as Just Eat for Business records unprecedented growth and in demand service

The UK’s leading office food delivery marketplace Just Eat for Business today reports a surge in demand for its flexible office catering, with businesses seeking to create a collaborative and productive workforce. The business has observed an order growth of 56 percent in the last year. This was driven by workers heading back into the office, and tucking into food from over 600 restaurants and caterers across the UK, including popular vendors Pizza Pilgrims, Pure and K10.

The “return to work” topic remains high on business leaders’ agendas, even years after restrictions have been lifted. For many, finding the right environment to attract workers into the office is the top priority. In fact, 87 percent of business leaders “believe that developing the right workplace model is important or very important to their organisations success” - and are striving to achieve this through one avenue of workplace catering.

With many corporates continuing to seek a flexible office catering model to motivate their workforce, Just Eat for Business has seen over a third of new customer growth and a considerable increase in the adoption of its flexible offerings, including Just Eat Pay, the service gifting workers an allowance to order food individually when and where they need it. This has seen a 64 percent increase in its orders in the last year as many businesses move away from traditional catering models that fail to align with hybrid working practice and worker’s needs.

As part of Just Eat Takeaway.com, Just Eat continues to support its corporate arm to deliver quality food to businesses that allow for collaboration, social occasions and increased productivity.

It’s clear that ‘the return to the office’ concept is still front and centre of business strategy with leaders looking at new ways to engage, retain and attract talent. Food is a key driver in bringing people together and the proof is in the pudding - with our orders and interest in our flexible offerings continuing to grow at a rapid rate. Matt Ephgrave, Managing Director at Just Eat for Business

As we continue to see more and more businesses adopting a flexible catering model, particularly in more cost conscious times, we’re committed to providing the best quality service so that their teams can feel happy, supported and heard.”
